We hire a diverse mix of hardworking and motivated men
and women from across the country and around the world.
The work can be difficult: conditions are often cold, wet and
monotonous, and the hours can extend up to 16 per day
for weeks on end. This is not a job for everyone but it has its
rewards. When the plant is running at full capacity you can
expect to work seven days per week from 14 to 16 hours
per day. This means the average employee will work about
100 hours per week during peak periods: 40 hours of this is
paid at the regular time rate and 60 hours is paid at time and
a half (regular rate times 1.5). This can add up quickly. What is
more, at Leader Creek you have very few expenses.
Room and board are provided at no expense, and we provide
airfare to and from Anchorage (or Kodiak depending on
your point of hire) for all employees who complete their contract.
You can find more specific information about what you can expect
(and what is expected of you) at Leader Creek by visiting the
links to your right.
Thank you again for your interest.
